About Us

Welcome to GrapevineGlobetrotter.com, where every bottle tells a story, every vineyard holds a secret, and every sip takes you on a journey.

My name is Elena Sergeeva and I’m your guide, a wanderlust-driven travel blogger, an ardent foodie with a deep-seated passion for the world of wines, and a proud holder of the WSET Level 1 certification. My odyssey through the enchanting realms of wine began in the historic vineyards of my adopted homeland, Greece, a country where wine is not just a drink, but a legacy woven into the very fabric of our culture.

Greece, with its ancient amphorae and age-old traditions, is where the nectar of the gods first whispered to humanity. The history of Greek wine is as old as the myths of Dionysus, where each grape variety tells a tale of civilizations that thrived and fell, of Spartan feasts and Athenian symposiums. It’s here, amidst the sun-kissed islands and the rugged mountains, that my journey into the heart of wine began. From the robust reds of Nemea to the aromatic whites of Santorini, Greek wine offers a palette as diverse and vibrant as its landscapes.

But the call of the vine took me beyond the Aegean shores, to the rolling hills of Tuscany, the lush valleys of Penedes, and the steep terraces of the Douro Valley. Europe’s wineries, with their centuries-old traditions and innovative spirits, have been both classroom and sanctuary, places where the soul of the land is captured in a glass.
